A Punishing God or a Gentle Giant?

God alone is responsible for all the suffering, pain, torture, death and horror that the world has become. He claims that in the Old Testament few people now read it because of the conflict with the work of Jerome, the author of the New Testament. He was appointed by Damasus, the then Bishop of Rome, to unite the Roman Catholic Church after Constantine established it in AD 325. He was swamped by a lack of common values.

“I am God, and there is no other, there is no God besides me:… I form light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I God make all these things…” Isaiah 45:5-8

The god that man worships, whatever form or name he has, is false. However, it was part of the darkness that the real God has allowed, even created, for those who are not spiritual to persecute them and be separated from the covenant Sons of God who are called Israel.

The background of the religion is that the king is the so-called ‘Son of God’. He once had the power over life and death and he alone made the rules by which everyone had to obey. Pleasing him and calling him gentle, affectionate and great was part of the farce to avoid his wrath and thus save his life. He was also expected to rule in the afterlife, so they heaped riches and praises upon him while he lived so that his existence in eternity would be pleasant.

Begging for mercy and help was what his subjects had to do if they wanted help or his favor. That has resulted in long and boring prayers and supplications. Chanting and hymn-singing are downright disgusting, and yet men see it as a way to open the gates of heaven.

This is what is carried forward in religion where reverence and respect is given to idols, icons, even the dead. People bow and scrape before monarchs as if they still have that power. They rush to the church because it is supposed to be the residence of their gods. The facts are, however, that they are the dark mountains to keep people who are not of God in order.

“Thus said God: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you; they puff you up; They speak a vision of their own heart, and not from the mouth of God.” Jeremiah 23:19

God doles out the fury and horror we are experiencing as the world faces the end of days. There is no use bowing and scraping before statues or praying to so-called saints or prophets because unless one is of God from the beginning, the end will soon come.
