My Favorite Home Remedies for Glowing Skin

Isn’t it fascinating that people are intrigued by the lore of previous generations? Especially when it comes to health and skin care. Despite the fact that we have access to amazing scientific advances, holistic therapies and natural skin care have never been more popular. As a person who researches natural skin care for a living, I would like to share some of my favorite home remedies for glowing skin.

If you stop to think about it, it’s not that surprising that great results come from old-school skin care methods. Our great-great-grandmothers were pretty smart cookies. They understood how to use natural substances such as egg whites, powdered eggshells, cornmeal, honey, rose petals, dried lavender, etc., to cleanse, soften, and protect their skin.

One of my favorite home remedies for glowing skin is lemon juice. My mother used to rinse my hair with it to make it shine. Because of this, I got the idea to apply lemon juice directly to my age spots. Unsurprisingly, the lemon juice had a significant lightening effect on these unsightly dark spots.

However, I have to tell you that this effect is temporary. Unless you keep using the juice, the dark spots will eventually come back. I learned that this is because the juice is a topical treatment. Lemon juice does not have the proper molecular structure that allows it to interact at the cellular level to treat the root cause of dark spots.

Another one of my favorite home remedies is honey. Honey has been used since ancient times for its wonderful healing properties, especially when applied to the skin. Scientists now understand why. It is due to special enzymes that give it amazing antibacterial and antioxidant properties.

Fortunately, I found a product made with high concentrations of active Manuka honey, a special type of honey harvested from the manuka bush, which grows uncultivated in New Zealand. This substance possesses even greater healing abilities for the skin, due to the presence of a unique antibacterial property. Scientists call this the Unique Manuka Factor (UMF), which is not found in all types of manuka honey.

As a result, I get all the skin benefits of using honey, without having to deal with sticky messes.

I have discovered other specially formulated products that contain high concentrations of natural substances that have historically been used as home remedies for glowing skin. Scientists have learned the value of harvesting, testing and creating products with natural extracts that consumers can use as a convenient face cream.

Using these nature-based creams results in significant improvements in shine, firmness, evenness of tone, elasticity and natural hydration. The visible enhancement is direct evidence of the enhancement taking place within the deep cellular structure. So if you’ve been trying to find home remedies for glowing skin, why not check out the latest scientific breakthroughs based on ancient wisdom?
