It has now become standard procedure when applying for a position that the employer makes a selection and this is primarily for security reasons. Employers can also conduct educational verifications online, as many people are not producing fraudulent certifications, as well as fraudulent documentation, such as social security numbers, previous employment, and much more.

Not only do employers request criminal arrest records, but many women and men who are about to marry also request records to ensure they do not marry a criminal or someone who has a history of violence or drug abuse. Records can be obtained from most government departments, such as courts and police stations, but there is a much easier way to do this that will also save you time.

All you need to do is go online and find a private records provider that will charge you a small fee, but provide you with an accurate and complete record of the person in question. Or alternatively, you can search online for free, although it might take some time and patience.

One also has the option of checking their own personal records which could then be included alongside their resume when applying for a position, if they have no criminal arrest record. Whichever state you reside in, you must follow state laws and procedural policies, as each state may differ when it comes to retrieving any individual’s records. Some states allow public access online and other states require written requests.
